Gees Bend Ferry

Gees Bend Ferry, Wilcox County, AlabamaFerry service was restored between the county seat of Camden and the historic Gees Bend community in 2006.  Take a two mile ferry ride to Gees Bend and enjoy the rich history of the area where the world famous Gees Bend Quilters reside.                                      
Hornblower Marine Services provides marine management and consulting to state, federal and private clients in need of professional turnkey vessel management systems. We help our clients meet changing market conditions through effective and experienced cost effective solutions.  The Gees Bend Ferry is one of the newest vessels in the HMS fleet. We are proud to be involved with this significant project with the Alabama Department of Transportation and Wilcox County, Alabama. HMS provided turnkey project management for this ferry. Our teams managed construction, certification and delivery. In our operational role we manage all of the day to day operations, sales, logistics, crewing and community relations. We are proud to be some of Camden's "newest neighbors".
